Today, I received a VM and I have no idea who called or what the reason for the call was. The woman who called was very soft spoken. She spoke so softly, I could barely hear her. She also mumbled. The only part I could understand was "an exciting job opportunity". I listened to the message 4 times before deleting it.
I frequently get calls from job recruiters regarding my online resume. I often have to listen to messages multiple times, as the caller will have a very thick accent. Fortunately, they also email me info about the proposed job.
If you have to leave a VM for someone, either business or personal, please have the common courtesy to SPEAK CLEARLY!!!! I tend to speak very fast, however when I have to leave a message for someone (including family), I slow down so that I can be understood. There is nothing more annoying than having to replay a message multiple times in order to get everything.
